What do Nikola Tesla, Captain Nemo, Dr. Julius No, Dr. Victor Frankenstein, and Madame Marie Curie have in common? Why, they are all on this list, wherein Daniel H. Wilson and Anna C. Long travel back in time (and into fiction) to psychoanalyze and rate their All-time Top 5 Mad Scientists, at Popular Mechanics Magazine. (found via Brassgoggles.co.uk)

I heard one of the inventors of this new airship. There was a Coast To Coast show and he spent the whole time talking about their new airship designs. They should be great. They don't intend to use them to transport passengers though, at least not at first. They have plans to use them to move freight, sort of like airborn trucks or trains. Passenger transports would come a little later.

I can remember when the Ohio skies were full of airships. The Goodyear blimps would fly over quite regularly. You could always hear them coming because you could hear their engines. They would usually fly over at night and they were all decked out with white lights. From a distance, they looked like strange UFOs. The had a base in Akron.
